Thats fine for a painted molding on a 2/12 pitch vault where you can caulk the gap created by tipping the crown.  Try that  on a 4 12 and you'll be looking at a big gap on the bottom of the crown alon...

Ok, it's not a mitered corner door- just standard stile and rail[br]Raise your hand if you do your edge profile before glue up ?[br]Evidently the guy with that clamp setup does.

You did a terrific job of fitting that beautiful piece. Brick and stone are definitely a challenge. I wouldn't caulk it at all. Whatever you use will eventually crack or separate.
