0 Thread: Jet Riving knife adjustment
Post: RE: Jet Riving knife adjustment

You might also want to check that the knife is not too thick for the blade. To do this easily, you can do a short stop cut on some material. Then slip the slot you just cut over the riving knife its...

0 Thread: Making the DC a little easier to use
Post: RE: Making the DC a little easier to use

I have used a clear sight glass on our old barrel and that really did not work that well. It would cloud over and always look full due to static. You can drill a hole in the top of the drum and make ...

Post: RE: Show me your shaper cutter guards

If you need a particular dust port size or shape, we can make them. We have just started doing this on our 3D printers. Very strong results with PetG. We made adapters that fit 4" S&D PVC to 4" hose ...

Post: RE: Delta TS DC Question

Thanks, Jim. This is a typical riving knife setup there. The guard is a little older, but has a 4" dust port. It should be catching at least 99% or better of the saw dust.  One tip is to lower the ...

Snap a picture or two of the setup. I will certainly try to help. It will catch near 100% of the dust with a riving knife version and proper dust collector or shop vac. It will leave more dust on an e...

Well, it's not a blade guard. At least not the way OSHA defines it. To be a blade guard, it has to protect against kickback too. Not just be a barrier for fingers and dust. That means a splitter or ri...

Yes. The Shark guard for those models mounts to the same hardware that the original guard mounted to. I have helped a few customers locate that hardware in the past, but the sources are drying up. :(
