In that case, I can recommend the Hans Karlson hook knife. I also use two of his palm gouges with different sweeps.

There are lots of nice carving knives out there, but when I was looking for one, I read an article by Robin Wood who extolled the virtues of the Mora 106. Don't let the cheap price make you think this...

I've nicknamed this thread the Yo-Yo thread on account of the fact that I can't help scrolling up and down.[br][br]I love it and the fact that it is left-handed makes it all the more desirable.

I used some very cheap and cheerful tools to rework a blocky handle on a Tyzack No. 120 and as part of that filed in a lamb's tongue. Lots of photos on my blog:[br][br]http://lumberjocks.com/Brit/blog...
