Yeah...but 3 Amp-hour or 5, 8, or 10??? I'd be surprised if you cut much of anything with a 3 Ah battery...but I'd expect better that what you describe if you used a 10 Ah battery.

On a regular chainsaw, open the oil cap and put it back on before storing.  Sometimes that relieves a little pressure. On pole saws, leaking the oil is a feature.  Pretty sure that across brands.

It depends on entirely the size of the tree, where it is, how it's coming down, what's happening to it after it's down, etc, etc, etc... Land clearing operations are generally extremely messy. But ...
