OK, I downloaded it from the 3D Warehouse directly into Sketchup 17. Looks great, only one question: what about dust collection? Miter saws can generate a lot of saw dust.

Sounds like your ramp-up and ramp-down setting are too long. On mine, they can be set.

I don't have any experience with HF motors but some things you have to consider when changing motors is frame size to ensure the new motor will bolt up to your saw, RPM, and shaft size.

You could get a coupler and a 5/8 bolt, cut the head off the bolt and put smooth part in the coupler, two nuts and washers to hold the wire wheel.

If you have room, look at an 8-incher. Most people who get a 6-inch are soon unhappy and get an 8. Buy once, cry once.

You might take a look at this one: http://www.woodsmithshop.com/media/pdf/901/SN09330_outfeed-table.pdf It's not fold-down but easily removed and folds up. I made one of these and it works very well....
