I would also radius the corners. Get in a hurry and run into a corner it’s going to leave a mark.

It’s what I’ve used for years on hundreds of bowls. Once it thickens, it’s done. I’ve tried all kinds of ways to “save” it and none worked well.

Clean the seat of the flapper valve with vinegar. You could also clean the flapper, but I normally just replace those.

Looks beautiful! I never really enjoyed sanding the insides of vases. Always that little ridge that doesn’t want to come out. We’re you just a little nervous doing the bottom?

I think you’re selling the Bessies too cheap. When I sold my shop, the Bessies went for slightly more than half new retail. Sold sixty of them ( kept the rest) in less than two weeks.
