Using any or all of the methods mentioned above, if you can get the arched (top) end of the staple above the surface only a little bit, try grabbing it with side cutters or nippers and then pull it ou...

Maybe I misread something in your question, but this is the prime place for a built-in. Build it in place piece by piece. You already have 3 walls. They can also act as the walls of your cabinet. Star...

I only have experience with the Johnson's product, but a web search indicates numerous similar products are on the market. I don't know their ingredients, but one should make sure there is no silicone...

Post: RE: How many figure-8 clips for this table?

I don't know how much weight each figure-8 will hold, but I suspect it is quite a lot; particularly with the size screws you propose. The company can probably tell you that information. Intuitively, I...

If you don't mind using some elbow grease, you can use an old, but simple, means to fill the relatively small pores of walnut by using the final finish material you plan to use. I assume you are using...

Why are you making a mahogany door and then painting it?? Isn't that a crime? My guess is that the door is improperly made or, perhaps, the wood is not properly dried before making it. The panel s...

3/4" thick should be plenty for good M&Ts. The photos just makes them look thinner. You can make good stopped mortises with a router or remove most of the material using a bradpoint bit in a drill pr...

It looks to me like you did not get all of the 80 grit scratch pattern removed when you moved up to the next grit (120). I can see where your sanding motions were moving across the grain in some place...

White oak is a good choice. I agree with M&T joints (no miter) with epoxy glue. My only concern is the thickness (or thinness) of your rails and stiles. You don't say how thick they are, but they look...
