Remember if you use ones with "slats" that they should be pointed up when open to be authentic. Of course I did mine down like most other people. Nobody has ever told me I put them on wrong.

How about cutting some off the top of the door and then raising it the same amount. Reason is that you won't see the top, where you will see the bottom. Provided it isn't damaged as it might appear ...
