I just finished a 4-poster bed plateform, "California King" size. The bedroom is small so I built 6 drawers on each side of the bed for our clothes, is takes the place of a dresser drawers.

I like the figure 8 for attaching the top to the base. I have used the "Z" thingies that you use a biscuit slot. The 8's are plenty strong and easier to install.

Not sure about the Wixey, but the one I have the fence is just lifts straight up and off. The read out stays on the slide and below the cast iron top. 2 pins locate the fence to the read out.

I installed a digital read out o my fence several years ago. After using it I would not go back to a tape measure or mounter scale.
