Post: RE: Grizzly band saw

I bought a 531x2 about 8 years ago. It's the one with cast iron wheels & trunnions, better fence and foot brake. Cost around $1,100.00 and worth every penny then. I would easily pay $2,000.00 for i...

As an aside, I won a Donnelly auction a week or two ago for a short D100, described as mint/unused. Received the saw and it was unused, but did not feel sharp (light drag on my palm). It is a 10 poi...

Very nice set-up, Tom! Very organized! I use CBN wheels (at least a half dozen years) and either Spderco stones or Washeta and strop (vintage chisels)

I don't follow type studies, but MF are some of my favorite tools. The planes I like, are those with the articulating lever cap.

I absolutely love the design and workmanship, however stylistically they would not work in our formal, Georgian style home!

Remove the fence and gray Scotch-Brite pad with WD-40. No need to get perfect, but clean it and use the jointer. Keep it well waxed and every so often, work a bit more on the rust.
