That's too bad about the bad can. I've never used EnduroVar II but like you, really liked the original EnduroVar.
Based on your comments here a while back, I tried the Minwax Oil Modified. It spr... |

Thread: a wood to contrast with QSWO
Post: RE: a wood to contrast with QSWO
My favorite light/dark combinations with white oak are wenge or mahogany.
Wenge might be a bit too much dark if it is for a panel, but mahogany(veneer) would work well. |

How about a smaller hole?
I've been making several of these this year. They seem to be popular. I use 1-1/4" rods and drill a 1" hole. I round the rod ends over on my table saw. They fit nice an... |

How about something they can use with their phones/tablets?
Google for images like "wood cell phone holder" or "wood tablet stand"
You can make them for specific devices or in batches. |

Thread: Poplar Durability Outside
Post: RE: Poplar Durability Outside
There is pressure treated poplar available.
My neighbor uses it for fence boards for his pasture. He paints it white but that is to match the rest of his fencing. |

Thread: Cutting 1/4" Plexi-Glass

I've cut a lot of plexi on my table saw. I normally use a 24 or 40 tooth woodworking blade. I've even use a circular saw blade on my TS as well but it can chip a bit more.
I definitely recommend... |

Thread: hidden hinge options?
Post: RE: hidden hinge options?
The soss hinges do require depth. That's not a problem on the cabinet side but for the door, may need to add a piece to the back to allow for more depth. |

Not hard, but careful measuring is necessary. They come with a layout template. They require routing a recess with two depths.
It's a pretty solid hinge. |

The SOSS hinges are just for this kind of application. They have a load table to help you decide which size and how many. They are nice and can handle heavy loads.
I used them for a maple slab do... |

Right.. The support is the maple rail connected to the walnut feet with screws. The whole support piece is independent of the bed frame. |
