Festool track is the same as it is now, no changes. The Hilti is not a plunge cut saw, more like a normal circ saw that has the slots to engage the rail, its not made anymore. Ed

Bought my Festool 55 series saw in 05, it was a game changer. My guide was a long piece of 2" channel, paired with 2 quick grip clamps and a 7 1/4 Milwaukee saw, it worked, but a pita. Years later...

I know the feeling of losing a month.....last year when I had blood clots in my leg. 2 weeks in the hospital, 1 week in a rehab place then gimping around with a walker. Poof, 1 month gone. Ed

Looks great! Excellent job. Care to share your stain mix? I use a lot of Ash, always finish with wipe on poly as I've never found a stain that looks good (to me). Ed

I use a static phase conv. on my 5hp shaper. Never had the need for a variable speed, the 2 speed pulleys work fine. Ed

When using Transtint I use veternary syrenges from the farm store/grain elevator so a repeatable color mix is easy. I also mix it w8th denatured alcohol. Ed
