Thread: Unique design challenge
Post: RE: Unique design challenge
if you have a lathe you could turn something. Make a mold or a container add casting resin, sticks and whatever else the kids want to put in and let your imagination run.

Yup. I have watched him for years and have a few of his books. I think he probably influenced more people to get into woodworking than anyone else. I wish him a long life and a happy retirement.

I had one many years ago. I used it in a radial arm saw before I had a table saw. I worked well enough but was a little scary to watch the first few times I used it.

No Drywall, use OSB or Plywood. Heat and A/C if you are going to spend a lot of time in it. Maybe a dedicated area with ventilation for spraying finish.

I would make brackets that would allow the boxes to hang on the outside of the railing so water could drain to the ground and not on the deck. A hard rain could scatter dirt from the boxes onto the de... |

Thread: Peg Board or Alternative
Post: RE: Peg Board or Alternative
You might get a little tear out but how often are you going to be moving the pegs around? You only need a drop to hold the peg in place, your not trying to do a glue up that needs a lot of strength.

Put a dab of hot melt glue on your hooks when you insert them in the peg board. It will hold the hooks in place but you can still remove them if you waht to.

I don't change out the hose unless something appears to be wrong with it. They only cost a few bucks so if it gives you peace of mind that you have a new hose on it then by all means replace it.
