Thread: Outfeed Table
Post: RE: Outfeed Table
I did make an outfeed table with the removable pins and decided to overengineer by going with a torsion box. The top skin is 1/2" ply, the bottom is 1/8" hardboard, and the ribs are 1/4" ply. I defini... |

Thread: Mini Split v Central Air

I live in California (definitely a high cost state) and went mini split - and I'd go back in a second. It's totally worth the added expense. Most rooms have emitters buried in the ceiling so there are... |

Thread: Looking for 20mm diameter dowels
Post: Looking for 20mm diameter dowels
... this can't be that hard, and yet.
My wife would like a large pegboard for hanging hats, coats, and things. "No problem", thinks I, "I can do a 20mm layout using my workbench tooling".

Its bend resistance is proportional to its thickness. For the top to bend (assuming the frame doesn't buckle) the bottom needs to expand to compensate - so you're turning the vertical force into the t... |

Thread: Drilling a Long (12") Hole
Post: RE: Drilling a Long (12") Hole
I don’t see a problem other than wire routing. Look for “aircraft drill bits”, they’re long, and either use a drill press or a guide. Then run a string through and use it to pull the wires. |

I didn't use the one that came with my new drill press - it's a MT-2 taper and a 1/2" capacity chuck. "Free" to anyone who's willing to pay shipping, or pick up in Mountain View, CA. DM me! |
