  0 Thread: Smoke Detector Issue
Post: RE: Smoke Detector Issue

Post: RE: Smoke Detector Issue

Detectors are good for 7/10 years or thereabouts. When 1 goes bad, replace them all if you’re near the 7/10 year mark. You can usually identify a bad detector with a red light instead of solid green...

Post: RE: What white opaque finish would you use?

Scott, yes I’ve shot many cabinets with clear precat with an airless and 1 chair project with black satin sheen. SW 7008 is nearly white and I plan on using a satin or low sheen. I’ll shoot 2 coats ...

Pre cat is nasty stuff but it’s also a very good finish and I know what I’m capable of achieving with it. I’ve also lived with it for 20 years total on 2 separate kitchens. I am definitely the c...

Post: RE: Putting paint over varnish - outside

If you want the best possible finished product, strip the doors first and then sand to 120/150. Prime then paint. This is what I’d do if I had the time and desire. I’d also lean this route is the s...

Nice plane for sure and I agree on the price. My grandpa bought a brand new #8 right after returning from WWII. It cost him $50…..a full week’s worth of pay. $60 seems fair:)

I doubt a beater Unisaw would come with a Forest blade. I’d offer $1500. Anything less is most likely an insult.

Wood magazine had a slip on or slip over RT fence plan that fit over my Biesmeyer nicely. I actually liked that fence better than the one I’m currently using. Easy 1/2 day project made from plywood.
