Thanks for the information. It was a pain to check the oil level. Putting the oil in will be the same. Warm the oil up and squirt it in.

I haven't changed the gear oil in years. I use the planer quite a bit. I cleaned the chain and re-lubed it. Checked the gearbox oil level and it was at the correct level. The oil seemed a little thin....

Some Hickory's looks like Bamboo except the "knots" in the bamboo. Both are hard and do not take stain very well.

I had to block off one of my ducts temporarily. I cut a piece of 1/4" plywood a little  larger than the duct and duct taped it on the end of the pipe.

Blum makes a plate for the inset hinges that mounts to the edge of the face frame. That way you don't have to put a block inside the face frame. I have done it both ways both work fine.
