Post: RE: bed rail hardware

Well - if it were me (and I guess you could say it was since a built a bed a number of years ago!) -  I would not go with inset (i.e., knock-down) bed rail fasteners and instead go with the classic, t...

Feedback and a few comments: ·        Design looks good ·        Material? ·        6” rail - plenty ·        Agree with the center support post – but, as others have suggested, consider a mid-...

This may not be the forum for this question - but I want to paint (pinstripe) some lines on a dry-erase white board (i.e., permanent lines). What would be the best paint for this? Is it even possible?...

For a less then 3' long shelf - IMO you don't necessarily need a 1-1/2" thick shelf (unless that is the look you are going for). May wish to consider a single sheet of 3/4" furniture grade ply with a ...

For me the “sequencing” (i.e., carcass or drawer first) is not so much the issue and as most have said, one would typically want to start with a fully completed drawer pocket (or carcass as you have s...

Post: RE: Desk Design ?

I don't think you will have any problem with the top "sagging". The two side drawer pocket framing should add some rigidity to the overall support for the top.

Post: RE: Desk Design ?

I tend to agree with the above reply. If the top is thick enough (1 inch or so) I would not worry about the sag.  I built a dining table (larger than what you are looking at) out of 1-1/4” thick Jarra...

I assume you mean racking end to end – which, IMO, is a valid concern with this design.  I few things come to mind (and not to offend) but I think the issue is inherent in the design – mainly the “fla...
