Actually, that's a good question. That hadn't crossed my mind. I'm not sure that's be a serious problem, especially since I clean the heck out of my lathe very often, but with that fine a particle I m...

Post: RE: hartville tool discount

Last time I tried, about 8 months ago, I had to call customer service to use it and they allowed it. The CSR told me that if you put "Woodnet 10%" in the note section, they'll see it and give the dedu...

Post: Recommendations for a new outboard chuck please...

I need a new chuck to use on the outboard end of the headstock for my lathe. It uses 1 1/8" - 8 thread ( yes, I'm sure), and I'd like it to be a locking chuck as I do reverse direction occasionally. I...

Post: Which router bit for flattening slabs?

I've been using a 3/4" straight bit for flattening the smaller slabs I've been doing so far, but it's time to move up in size. I'm using a PC 2 1/4hp router. It's the largest in my current arsenal, an...

Get a knock out punch set. A decent set is fairly inexpensive, and a piece of cake to use. Clean hole, maybe sand a little if you want.

Yeah, I want to try and maintain torque at low speed. That's concern #1 for this lathe, used more outboard turning.

Title pretty much sums it up. I can get a practically free teco 7300 5hp vfd, but want to use it on either a 2hp or 3hp motor. Any issues with that? Thanks in advance.
