I thought the use of chalk was for when you used standard metal files on aluminum, didn't know it was necessary for aluminum specific files?

Lots of good suggestions here, thank you. I think I'll explore more of a DIY course of action. Maybe some hollows and rounds carved out of poplar scraps may work. |

Interesting.....I’ve been on Amazon, haven’t seen any. Remember I’m looking for a shaped wheel, the are plenty of flat ones mostly of smaller sizes. |

I use the jointer to flaten one face and true up an edge. After that the final psses on both sides of the board will be with the planer, so I don't see the need for using carbide inserts on the joint... |

I will second the Lennox blades as I have had very good luck with them. For something just a little less expensive you could also look at the Timber Wolf blades. |
