I doubt if any other benchtop planer has received more outstanding reviews than the DW735. It is very easy to adapt to any dust collection system although I would not use a shop vac.

1) Put a mobile base under every tool that I think I may ever have to move, even if it's only a few feet. 2) Lean on the side of over kill when it comes to adding overhead lighting.

At least once a year, sometimes more often, I clean the CI top of my saw with Mineral Spirits and then reapply a rust inhibitor and a few coats of Johnson's Paste Wax.
