Post: RE: Heads-Up: PEC Combination Squares (blem)

I got mine today.. the blemish was that the blades were scratched, but the scratch did not affect the measurement markings, so I am extremely pleased with them. Thanks for posting this

Thanks, I ordered one big one and one smaller one.. They also have PEC squares with the protractor and center finder attachments if someone is looking for those.

I am just curious.. why is this vise so expensive .. I am asking due to ignorance, not attacking the price. What does it do that other vices can't do , which makes it so desirable?

We had a thread about this a long time ago.. I guess it expired. Kreg has its own tracksaw which comes with a pretty cool table. People were wondering about compatiblity with other track saws. From th...

Post: RE: Underpowered drum sanders?

I have been told that wood coming off the planer is roughly equivalent to 100 grit.. I do not know if that is accurate or not, but after hearing that, I no longer use 80 grit on mine.. too course, the...

I build my own CNC, using an earlier version of Joe's CNC as a basis. His plans now are much better, more rigid, and have a lot of the problems worked out. It took me a lot of time to build, and rebui...

I have not personally used one, but this place has an add on laser solution to a CNC, which seems to get great reviews. You would need to buy or build a CNC, but that could be very useful for small st...

I bought a butcher block top at Menards and made my own version of the armor tool table (as my tablesaw outfeed table) I did not want to go the MFT route, as I already had a lot invested in 3/4" clamp...

Get the makita saw.. I was in the same dilemma you were, bought the makita and am very happy about it. It's not just the initial cost of the festool that gets you. Their plywood blade (if you want to...

Nice post, I was in a similar situation as you.. I ended up with the Makita , and I love it. Festool has just gotten out of control, IMO. The Festool track saw (and their other tools) were sort of re...

If your budget is limited, try out some of the diy CNC. People have built the Joe's Hybrid (mdf carriages, mach 3, cut2d, angle iron rails, rack and pinion) for about 2000, and that included 400 for t...
