I have an 18" Rikon. I like to use 1/2" timberwolf blades for most of my cutting. I suppose you could get a 3/4" blade to try also. Obviously, maybe some thinner blades if you plan on curves.

Nice deal for someone local. I have one and I use it often. It's great for installing trim or getting that perfect 45 degree angle. Or just shaving a little bit more off the end of a piece of wood.

Nice install. I had the original version of the Wixey planer readout, which had a "nut" welded on the bottom, which eventually broke. This looks like a better design.

Oh I forgot to say this. I bought a Grizzly G8749 flap/drum sander. It looks like a bench grinder but it has sanding drums on the side. Have not tried the flap sander yet. The sander itself works fine...
