The medallion is 13/16" 1930's or 40's.  And I think that Bandit had it right - someone cut up a #4. Another $2 invested in my education. Best  DM

I don't see anyway to adjust the distance between the shaft for the plastic gear (which is held on with a C ring) and the metal drive gear on the motor shaft. Thanks

First, I need to correct my use of the work "clutch".  As others noted it is not a clutch as found in a gas saw, but simply a plastic gear that transfers power from the motor to the chain drive sprock...
