Not really familiar with Festool domino size but looking at there web site they have 5 different bit sizes. I would think if you wanted to go thicker than 1/4" domino you could just get a larger colle...

To the OP if your still interested call the manufacture you'd be amazed at what they know. They will probably get the bottom of it in about 2-3 minutes after asking you exactly what you did.
