I now check in periodically, having gone mostly blind from AMD, Readubg us nearly impossible and typic something readable is painfully slo.

Nacular degeneration means that I am too blind to see a line let alone cut to it.  I can still read, with difficulty, enlarged about 6X.  I check in on occassion.

I cheeck in now an then. Macular-degeneration has pretty much eliminated my ability to read and screen readers seem to have trouble with forum software. The learning curve of being legally blind is...

Again, thank you all very much. I'll look at a metal blade for my Festool circular saw. There is also the jigsaw. If we do it on the BS, I';; go with John's lamination suggestion.

My neighbor wants to cut a 1/8th brass plague. I have a dull 3 tpi blade on the bandsaw. Any issues other than a really dull blade after the cut? TIA

In general, the faster speed is better as long as the feed rate is near optimal. What are you going to do with the saw? A 1/4" blade will cut tight curves while a 1" will not. A 1" 3 TPI skip-tooth...

As Fred stated, no issues. A coat of shellac can serve to seal in the BLO and also serve as a base for whatever final finish you want. Adding the shellac coat avoids the long wait for the BLO to cur...
