Sounds like you have 5/4 S2S if both sides are smooth. S2S = surfaced 2 sides. 5/4 rough should measure at least 1 1/4". just for information S4S would be surfaced top and bottom and both edges smooth... |

I use a 2 or 3" foam brush to apply. Then follow up with a lint free old Tee shirt rag again long strokes with the grain. Sanding with a 320 foam pad in-between coats. |
