It's already been mentioned I left one stile of the face frame unattached, fit the piece wall to wall and scribed the stile and attached. Looks so much nicer than going the filler strip route. |

I ended up with a fernco on both sides so I could push the bow vent all the way up against the bottom of the counter. All in, about 11"s higher than it previously was. |

Thanks for the feedback I did not know they made fernco that fit on the outside of the fitting. I would prefer go the fernco route to avoid having to redo the whole drain assembly since it's the bow v... |

I ended up cutting the pipe open and sure enough, it had water and ungodly smelling sludge. I hooked my wet dry vac to the vent pipe and sucked out about 3 gallons of water and muck.

Try a black dye stain on rift sawn oak. Dry and apply sealer coat and lightly sand. Apply a grey glaze stain on and wipe off excess. |

I did fill in the routed design with wood filler for that exact reason. I used the PVA glue with iron application technique to attach the veneer. |

Make sure to your plywood cuts are clean and that you join the bottoms flush with the sides. Use solid wood strips with yellow glue and headless micro pins to hold it. |
