Hey folks,
I gotta cut some veneer from 4" cherry.
The band saw is 1 hp Griz 14". What blade configuration would work best?
Thanks. |

Hi folks,
I'm needing to build some drawer boxes and thinking Baltic birch is a good way to go. The real stuff; not the Chinese made junk from most of the big box stores.
Only want a few sheets ... |

I paid $1350 for my used 2 hp 1642 about 6 years ago. It needed a little cleaning up but has been problem free. |

Black Locust would probably be my choice. I have fence post still solid after 40 years of wet/dry cycles, all just stuck into a hole in the ground with no sand or cement. |

Thanks to all. The 8/4 may well be overkill and I can certainly save a few bucks by using 6/4 and glue up the blanks.
Sounds like a plan. |
