ice maker issues

Howdy folks, I have a GE ice maker and the mechanism for feeding ice to the door needs replacing. Specifically the ice bin gear that feeds the screw that works ice to the dispenser is worn and slips and/or gets stuck. Does this question make sense or is it clear enough? Can anyone direct me to a resource for parts and or instructions that could help me DIY? Thanks! Eric
