This is a short video about a Canadian woodworker that builds spherical tree houses and fills them with hand-made furniture. The first tree house in this video is built within a fiberglass sphere but the second, older version, has a wooden shell.

Guy works in a niche where people have a lot more money than sense, never outgrew their childhood, and Daddy never built them a treehouse when they were kids. Looks like his craftsmanship is on par with what I can imagine he charges. I think if I were to have an adult treehouse I would opt for a framed construction like the people who had the TV shows would make. Offered a lot more options with electrical, plumbing, etc, and I imagine bottom line would be less than the sphere. Ever notice all of these are on properties way out there, with what looks like miles of acreage around them. Can you say Cha Ching!!!!!
