Australia has a gentleman, George Smithwick, who is a national treasure and this is a vid of an interview with him. It is an hour long, but it is well worth the time if you have nothing else scheduled. Several golden nuggets on hand tools and especially hand shaves and why they were shaped the way they were. Close to the end he shares a story on how his dad made bourbon with empty used bourbon barrels.
Overall this is a great vid. I'd put him up there with the likes of Paul Sellers due to his knowledge base and ease of working with the wood and tools.
Hope some of you have the time to watch it.
