I have one of these live centers that came with my Powermatic Oneway live center kit
and I bought one of these adapters that allows the chuck to be put on the live center Live center adapter
about the same as you put together . it's really meant for use with my vacuum chuck and getting it perfectly centered when changing from head stock to tail stock.
PSI sell this Live Center Chuck adapter but you have to have a 1x8 chuck or another adapter.
