I forgot to say that the thinnest part on the finial is about 1/32 just a tad bit less.  To me I just am not stable enough to get something that thin.  He has a lot of new stuff on ebay if you want to look and he has dimes standing on edge next to the turnings.

I can NOW really see why people collect them.  A whole shelf of them maybe 100 and more to show off and not just one or two big ones.  Really cool and Really wish Chiz was still here.
