My Christmas present to myself. Total impulse buy. Don't know if I'll ever use it but it's been fun tinkering with it in the shop nonetheless.

It doesn't look a whole lot different than my little electric Remington pole saw chain saw. It doesn't cut real fast, but it does the job as long as you take it slow and keep the chain sharpened.

I've thought of making it into a pole pruner as well.

It would probably work great for that purpose. Sometimes the configuration of the Remington is not ideal. It is set up like a standard chainsaw and the motor is sticking out the side. If it was set up like your angle grinder, it would be able to get into smaller areas much easier.
