We're thinking about building a house. I've been getting solicitations from Fine Homebuilding magazine. For those of you who take it what do you think of it? It's from Tauton Press so I would expect it to be high quality.

Most of the house such as the foundation, framing, plumbing and electrical will be built by pros. I will be doing much of the finish work after that. Am hoping that the magazine provides design ideas as well as nuts and bolts kind of info.

Lowes sells FHB, you could go buy one and see what you think. I have subscribed since forever and I like it.

FH will probably give you some good design ideas.
However, you also want technical info:
I think you’re better off getting construction books from the library.
