All I could find was this, https://www.woodreview.com.au/news/felde...ligna-2019 , but it looks incredible. If they could get the cost manageable it is a no brainer. While I am loyal Sawstop owner, and wouldn't need to change out, this seems to be well designed - especially since you would not need to buy a new cartridge or replace a blade in the case the system triggers.

I'd like to see the results of someone pushing sheet goods through at high speed just like they do when most accidents occur.

Did "Bosch's" system go away because of the lawsuit?

Yes Bosch lost the IP lawsuit.
This new system looks interesting but I’m still unclear on how it works, how it detects your hand. They make it seem like it uses a technology that doesn’t rely on touching the blade, but then they go to show the hot dog test.

There is more than one way to get something done. It was only a matter of time before someone one uped SawStop. This looks like a great system.

I think it's to show the system activate as a finger gets close enough to, what they refer to as, the capacity field around the saw blade. The video on the link barry posted shows a test with an actual finger But with the saw not running. You can see it at the 12 second mark. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JyJcrUtQo28

Compatable with Felder Kappa 550. Enjoy the video then as most are not dropping that money on a saw. They scoff at $3-4k for a SS. That will be closer to the tax and freight on this one.
Glad its my shop I am responsible for - I only have to make me happy.
