I am considering getting one of these while the dollar is still strong and Felder has their end of year specials going on.

If anyone has one, please tell me how you like it.

Also interested in 3-phase power converter recommendations.

Probably more than I need, but I sure like the width (almost 20") and cutter head that will work nice on figured woods.
...Naval Aviators, that had balz made of brass and the size of bowling balls, getting shot off the deck at night, in heavy seas, hoping that when they leave the deck that the ship is pointed towards the sky and not the water.

I don't know the amperage requirements of that motor, but I have a Teco that handles a 3hp motor that cost about $200 shipped.
