My wife enjoys crocheting and she asked me to make some wooden basket bottoms.
She showed me a few websites that sell them and that's where I got the dimensions plus the hole count and hole size that I needed.
The ones for sale are made of very thin veneered plywood (3 or 4mm) and they are cut with a CNC laser. Some reviews objected to the campfire smell!
I'm using solid wood resawn, then drum sanded, to 1/4 inch thick.
