i have a jet Contractor saw and raising the blade is smooth but lowering it is very difficult - lots of friction and a metal on metal rubbing sound. I isolated it to a washer shown in picture below under the height adjust wheel. When raising the washer does not contact the adj wheel. When lowering the adj wheel rubs the washer. i suppose I could grease it but it seems like a lousy design. Perhaps because the wheel is aluminum it galls? Anyone experienced this issue?
