That looks like a slaters tool, no? For removing slate roofing? Feel like bark spuds are cranked. I’m guessing some sort of roofing ripper.

It's got one hell of an edge on it for a roofing tool. Of course, the prior owner may have decided to use it for something other than its intended purpose
