Securing handrail to concrete stairs question.

I've used tapcons, they worked ok. This last time I used smacks. They did a great job and look great! You're grinding them off if you ever need to replace them though.

I’ve used Redheads to secure a hand railing. No experience with epoxy.

My experience with the Redheads is that they are fairly unforgiving..if you set them too deep, they can’t be raised up. Also theres no lateral ‘wiggle room’ for alignment and given that drill bits tend to wander in concrete..make sure your workpiece has plenty of adjustability.

I ended up wallowing out the holes in the hand railing’s base to get stuff to line up. Once installed, it’s a very rigid assembly.
