New user email verification system broken

Based on personal experience, the email verification system used for registering new users is broken:

Despite multiple requests to the WN system to send a verification email over the last week, no such email is received.

(After registering as a new user, email verification is required before posting and other functions are allowed.)

I started some other threads with different but related problems. The net effect is losing my password locks me out of the system as all the methods of recourse are broken.

I'm curious if many other folks have experienced the same thing (either as an existing or new user) and simply gave up trying to get onto Woodnet and went elsewhere.

Have you tried contacting one of the moderators? I'm not sure a system admin even exists these days.

As a new user, you can only contact a mod if you've been..wait for it..verified by email.

I finally resolved it by contacting a mod I happened to know completely outside of WN.

Yes I understand that, but I figured once you were able to log back in it would be better to contact a Mod about the problem instead of making a post that got no attention.
