Actually those are the old style backs that were our first effort. The backs that we now sell have flat sides that taper in like the old style Disston and Sorby saw backs

Yes - the 2 backs in this post were made from prototypes, when TGIAG was still working out the kinks. Their finished product now rivals the the quality of the very best vintage makes...
For an update to this post, here's the finished saws from the exercise above:

What is the colorization method Leif? Is that "as supplied" or did you apply something of your own?

Birchwood Casey cold blue. I think it was like - 3 applications? Works pretty well - not as good as hot-bluing, but can be re-touched.
