Weird Woodrough & McParlin saw on eBay

The seller says it was made for Niehaus & Meyer Hardware in Cincinnati.

Check out the unusual shape of the handle and the row of lightening slots in the plate. Seems to me that this would make the blade whip like a snake if the teeth should grab.

It has the Bowbelly handle on it, another sought after saw. Folklore has it it was named after a young boy who liked saws. Yes our very own Sawboy.

If you look at the seller's store and see what else they have for sale, you'll notice that they originally had a Buy it Now price of $500 for the saw. It'll be interesting to see how much it will go for.
