I'm making some light-duty drawers using 1/2" pine stock.
The only screws I have are 1-1/4 "coarse" and they don't seem to work well. I can't sink the screws all the way into the pocket which leaves the screw head proud enough to prevent using a plug.
KREG's size chart says 1" or 1-1/4" screws for 5/8" stock.
In accordance with the directions, the stop on the drill is set for "3-5/16 [from the stop to the step of the drill] for 1/2" material."
Will 1" screws solve this problem? Other suggestions?
