FYI Just seen a Wall Mart add for these and it is a Sweetheart one. I think it was for75.00 Go figure

I don't think that's out of line with other new production adjustable mouth block planes. It's Stanley's new production line with the A2 blades. FWIW, Rockler is selling the same Stanley 9-1/2 for $89.99. A WoodRiver (Woodcraft) 9-1/2 is $99.99. A Veritas (Lee Valley) equivalent is $155 with the A2 blade.

I don't think Lie-Nielsen makes a 9-1/2 anymore, but it would have been $165. I looked high and low for a LN 9-1/2 on their website and on websites of a couple of resellers and the LN 9-1/2 is no longer offered on line. All LN sells now is the 60-1/2.

Of course, you can always go get a vintage one for a lot less.
