Selling late FIL tools – TS, Shaper, Planer, Sander, DC (Pic Heavy)
#4
My Father-in-law passed away about 18 years ago and now my Mother-in-law has moved so I’ve been given the task of selling off his power tools (tablesaw, shaper, planer, sander, duct collector).  We’ve bought her house and I need to make room for my tools.  Proceeds go to her, not me (cash or USPS money order please).  Local pickup only, Fairfield Township area (north of Cincinnati).  I typically only sign on in the evening and will respond as quickly as I can in the order that PM’s are received.

The shaper and strip sander haven’t been used since he passed away other than me turning them on to make sure that they still run.  Tablesaw was used maybe once a year for the first 15 years; for the last three years my son has used it probably a dozen time for various projects around his house.  Planer has been run a couple of times in the last year, not at all before then.  Dust collector has had very little use since he passed away.

The workhorse of his shop is a Sear Craftsman “100” - Model 113.29991.  It comes with a 2hp WEG motor.  Currently set up as to run on 110 but can be re-wired to run on 220.  It’s on a 20-amp circuit now and will occasionally trip the circuit breaker if turned off and back on – motor will pull 22amps (see photo).  Comes with an older style Biesemeyer fence that is rock solid, board buddies, and will cut roughly 40” to the right of the blade. Included are the original fence, splitter, dado insert, mitre gauge, and a pulley kit and a link replacement motor belt.  There are also nine zero clearance table inserts that have never been used.  Base of the table saw stand has been modified to accept a 2 ½” dust collector hose.  Comes with his massive outfield / assembly table.  Table is approximately 70” wide by 47” deep.  Comes with two cabinets (contents not included) that are 24” wide by 2” deep.  Each cabinet has three 2” deep drawers, one 3” drawer, and one 7 ¼” drawer.  Pegboard on two sides to hold blades and other tablesaw accessories.  Asking $225

Sears Craftman 1/2hp Shaper Model 113.23940, on a stand with wheels so it is mobile.  Spindle can run forward or in reverse.  Comes with nine shaper bits (1/2” shank).  Bits were rusty, I’ve cleaned them and you can see their condition in the pictures.  Table size is 19”x27”, roughly 14” from center of spindle to edge of table. - $200.

That tablesaw looks almost brand new.  He must take care of his tool well.
As of this time I am not teaching vets to turn. Also please do not send any items to me without prior notification.  Thank You Everyone.

It is always the right time, to do the right thing.

Arlin,

Yes, he took very good care of his tools and made some very nice things with them...like the outfeed table.  My hope in selling them here is that they'll go to a good home.

Thank you (on his behalf) for the compliment.
