I am building a wall cabinet, which is going to be 4' X 4', with the width of the stock at 6". Since I plan to use through dovetails for the joinery, I am wrestling with how I'm going to secure the work for chopping out the tails and pins on my workbench. I am not too concerned with sawing the joints, since I will be securing the stock in my face vise. However securing and flipping over a 4' long board can be a bit challenging. Has anybody hand cut dovetails on larges boards, and any suggestions on what you used to secure the work when chopping the tails and pins.
