That's the best thing about it. If the smoke changes colors, you know you had lint in there.
Make your own smoke bombs (flash powder). Potassium nitrate (salt peter) and sugar.
I used to make this a lot during Halloween when I was young-er.

There is also a jointed, flexible brush (uses a drill) that can be used for a crazy setup like this.

I suppose a plumbers snake would work also. (Though I prefer the pyrotechnics of the smoke bomb.)
