Delta Air Cleaner

I need a new outer filter for my delta 50-860 air cleaner. The Delta ones I've found seem kind of expensive. Are there any off brands that fit this cleaner ? 

Also, can I hang the cleaner with the short width against the ceiling ?   My ceilings are kind of low, and it will stick out a bit much the other way.
